Apr 3, 2019 at 6:43 comment added Zeus IF you turn off the charger, then it's better to disconnect the battery as well. I have a charger (for power tools) that is 'smart' and takes care of overcharging etc, and it's indeed OK to leave it on with the battery for any time; but if I turn it off and leave the battery in, it will drain it in a few days.
