But a bike with a single cog on the back (as you'd find on any fixie or coaster brake bike), dropping a chain should be orders of magnitude less common IF the drivetrain is tensioned properly. Whether that is more or less common than breaking a chain on a single speed bike, I really don't know, but it is a good point. | |
