With my recumbent trike, despite how low to the ground it sits, this is also a definite risk when cornering quickly. You can counteract it by leaning in the direction you're turning. (That is, if you're turning left, lean left as you turn.) This is done on a bicycle without really having to think about it, but on a trike or a bike with training wheels you need to think about it.
Sep 25, 2022 at 14:47 | comment | added | Kyralessa | @Michael No it won't. I have a recumbent tadpole trike, and if I try to pedal no-hands, it drifts right on nearly every road. This is in southwestern Germany. The only thing that could fix it is some kind of self-centering mechanism. I took it back to the shop to have them look at it, but it's not something they can fix, because it's just the way the roads are. On a two-wheeled bike the rider instinctively corrects for this by leaning, but that doesn't work with a trike.

Aug 29, 2022 at 23:47 | comment | added | Hursey | I've got a couple questions. 1) what is the long term goal? Are the training wheels for "training" or for some other longer term balance issue? 2) How consistent is the camber? Is it practical to lift the uphill side and drop the downhill? Seems like potential for a world of hurt lifting both to keep them level, if for what ever reason you need the downhill one, is it going to be so far off the ground causing you to tip anyway?
