Sep 14, 2010 at 16:23 comment added Jonny Cundall @Unsliced, yep that's about it. I would be using it mainly for weekday evenings. I don't have any problem commuting through crap weather but I can't be arsed to ride through London in the dark for extended periods just to stay in shape.

You can get a decent workout in 60 minutes and not everyone lives in places which deliver suitable routes on their doorsteps. Ideal for winter weekday evenings when you can't put in a decent outdoor ride (work, kids) - not to mention being able to catch up on the TV you'd miss if you were out on the road ...
