Can I increase my axle to crown by 3cm? I am aware this is 1cm more than the recommended amount of change, however my frame is quite overbuilt and sturdy. I know that there are more threads about this but most are people worried about increasing axle-crown by 10mm or people keen to go up 8cm. I also am aware that there will be a change in geometry and handling, but am more worried about the structural integrity of the frame or fork. The hardest I will be riding this is slowly down a black dh trail, with no gaps, and tables no more than a few metres long. Thanks.

Reading between the lines - you wish to replace your fork, and the dimensions of the new fork are different? OR are you looking to extend your existing fork ? – Criggie Jul 21 '18 at 9:58
  • Criggie I want to replace my fork, (42-43cm axle-crown) with a new one (46cm axle-crown).My head angle is pretty steep, so even with the additional length it may still be high sixties. Just to stress, structural integrity is my main concern, and not handling or geometry – user38659 Jul 21 '18 at 12:17
