New UPDATES below!!!
Good day to everyone,
So i have this really old bike.
I don't know its brand and model. The paint is still stock, and it has a Ferrari sticker with the name "Michael Schumacher" and signature. also came with Mavic rim brake rims.
It has the letters "M O B" engraved at the back of the top tube.
Uses a Pilo D201 Dropout Hanger.
The frame was built fairly clean. Rear triangle only have mount for V-Brakes only (No u-brake mounts or cantilever cable guides)(also no Rack mounts) could i assume it's a race bike?
Came with a Square taper bottom bracket and a threadless headtube.
Came with an RST Fork(with stock paint).
Precisely built and uncut steerer tube with a built in thread for top cap.
Also have center stand mounts(?).
[UPDATE] So MOB Philippines replied to my question, and said that it is their bike. But their answer was not really satisfying enough for me.
[UPDATE 2] Thanks everyone for the help! I really appreciate it all. The reason I really wanted to learn about this bike is if the paint was authentic and was doubting if stripping the paint was worth it. So I gave in and finally stripped it, and it was worth it.
Fork: Kinsesis Maxlight Stem: Generic 17° stem (from the parts bin) Handlebar: Easton Monkeybar 680mm Seatclamp: Generic quick release (from the parts bin) Seatpost: Sagmit Ranger 27.2 (nabbed from my Giant STP) Saddle: Generic Fizik saddle imitation (also from the parts bin)
Rims/Hubs/Spokes: Mavic (I forgot the model) Tyres: Duro Bermmaster 26x2.10 Rotors: Shimano XTR SM-RT98L 160/160
I am restoring it to be my touring bike. planning to wait for Shimano's ESSA for the 8 speed upkit or probably the Microshift Acolyte (Though I'm kind of a Shimano fan boy so high chance it's going to be Shimano), or if I have extra cash to spare I might go for the CUES.
Also planning on putting a Nitto 25.4 35° for the stem
And a Surly Corner bar local imitation.
I'm open for suggestions for the build.
And again I'm really thankful for the replies and results of this topic.
