Questions tagged [rim-tape]

Rim tape separates an inner tube from the spoke holes in a wheel's rim, protecting the tube from punctures on that side. Rim tape uses an adhesive to hold it onto the inner well (not the continuous flanges of the rim--rather, the intervening flat section with the drilled holes) of the rim. (If the material used does not have an adhesive, call it "rim strip.") Rim tape is available in a variety of materials, diameters, and widths for different-sized wheels.
