Method for shortening a damaged hydraulic brake hose?

Sounds good to me! Just a few more pointers: You’re going to have to bleed the system for sure, so don’t be too worried about losing fluid. Hopefully you have enough excess hose to make such a ...

Method for shortening a damaged hydraulic brake hose?

Well I'm all done - some things that would be better done differently. Use a quality 8mm spanner. Mine was a bit sloppy, and I've rounded off the nut that enters the caliper. It took a lot more ...

Are clear hydraulic brake lines available for sale?

The pressures necessary in any disk brake setup are extremely high, many in excess of 2000psi [SRAM 4234 Rev A(2012), p4] so require a spirally-wound fiber core reinforcement to function. Because this ...

Hydraulic brakes worked just fine until I switched them to another bike

When you switched them, did you undo any of the hoses? If so, air has got into the system and is being compressed when you squeeze the levers. The solution is bleeding them. Parktool have great ...

Why are my disk brakes making a squealing noise?

Are ST-5800 shifters compatible with hydraulic brakes?

STIs include the internals actuating the brakes, i.e. the mechanism pulling the cable or the reservoir including the brake fluid etc. For this reason, they are not interchangable, even within the same ...
