I am a keen cyclist from Merseyside, United Kingdom.
My main use of cycling is getting to and from work on a daily basis. Although it's a relatively short distance of 7 miles each way, I enjoy the fresh morning air and ability to avoid all of the traffic jams working in a city brings.
My biggest cycling achievement was when I cycled through 14 countries in 14 days for the charity Reverse Rett. Myself and two other rides started in Glasgow, Scotland and cycled throughout each country in the UK (including Republic of Ireland) and then went on to cycle to northern Italy. We raised over £30,000 for our effort and thank everybody who supported us.
I got back into cycling at the end of the 2012 London Olympic games after I was inspired by Team GB. I purchased my bike through a cycle to work scheme and have never regretted making the decision.
I am also on Strava (view my profile so please feel free to follow me. I enjoy seeing all of the other cyclists out and about, helping reduce pollution and enjoying the wonderful sport!
